FAQs

1. What does the 3-year Extended Warranty cover?

Like the warranty coverage coming with the printer, the optional warranty covers all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of the LEIBINGER printer as specified in the printer’s original specification.

2. What is not covered under the warranty?

Labour and travel costs for repairs is not covered by warranty. Of course, we also have restrictions that are common in day-to-day business. We list these here for the sake of completeness:

(a) non-compliance with the user manuals, specifications or instructions of the seller

(b) improper installation, use, storage, care or maintenance by Buyer

(c) wear and tear parts and parts and components of maintenance kits

(d) modification, alteration or retiming of equipment

(e) use of products not supplied by the Seller, including, but not limited to, interfaces, software, inks, auxiliary materials, spare parts, accessories and consumables

(f) accidents, negligence, improper or abusive use

(g) conditions that are outside the specifications provided by the seller for ambient conditions, power supply and operating conditions

(h) custom work performed by Buyer

(i) force majeure events.

3. When is the last time to order the optional warranty extension?

The warranty extension can be ordered up to 3 months after the related printer has been dispatched. It is essential to provide serial number of the printer with the order of the warranty extension.

4. What will happen if a stock printer will be sold after, no longer, than 6 months by the partner?

In this case we need the installation certification of this printer. This will be checked by LEIBINGER. After approval the optional warranty extension can be then ordered within 6 months after dispatch of the LEIBINGER printer.

5. What will happen when a part is failing within the warranty time of the printer?

The general LEIBINGER spare parts warranty time is 12 months after dispatch. If a part is failing within the printer warranty time the spare part warranty time is extended at least to the end of the printer warranty time.

6. Can I extend the extension?

The warranty extension can be only ordered once. So, you need to be clear with the order how long you like to extend the warranty. 12 months, 24 months or 36 months?

7. How to claim warranty?

No change to our standard warranty claims process:

Please use the RMA process. To avoid any delay in the warranty claim process, please provide error description, serial number of the printer, and article number of the claimed item.

8. What is the price for the warranty extension?

We have different prices for the product lines. One price for IQJET / JET3/ RAPID series, one for JET2 NEO and JET ONE/ 1NEO series. Please reach out to your ASM to get more details about this topic. It’s also included in your pricelist.
